What are the differences in the hoop styles that you offer?
Every Hooprama® Hoop is made with a durable base. Our hoops are heavier and larger in diameter so they rotate slower than "traditional" toy store hoops making them easier to keep spinning. Yes! Even IF you "never could before"!

• Spirit Hoop - two solid colors. Our most economical hoop
• Zip Hoop - a step up from the spirit, a bit heavier and even more colorful with three or four solid colors!
• Flash Hoop - similar weight as the Spirit, but with a flashy reflective stripe and two solid colors!
• WOW! Hoop - two reflectives and two solid colors. Some call it the Bling hoop!
• Sassy Hoop - ribbon, solid & reflective! Best on a lightweight hoop, unless you want a really heavy hoop!
• H2g* - only in lightweight... A Hoop to Go!
• Shooter Hoop - one solid and one reflective. A super thin, super fly hoop for the zippy hooper!
• GLOW Hoop - like the flash hoop, but with GLOW tape! Hello nighttime!

Do you have a gallery showing samples of hoops that you have made?
We sure do! Of course it doesn't have ALL of the hoops that we have made, but it shows quite a few. We work to update the gallery on a regular basis... especially when we made a really cool hoop that we want to share! Just click on the TV and it will open a new page for your viewing pleasure! You might just see your new hoop on there!

I just saw a fabulous design in the gallery, can you make one for me just like it?
Every Hooprama® Hoop is made by hand. And when we make our hoops, we do not go into "robot mode" because our passion is color and design. We strive to make something fun and unique that will inspire you to hoop. So, with that said, we can do our best to recreate past designs- but it depends on tape in stock and... remembering how we made the one you like. I guess what we are really trying to say is- things can vary slightly and therefore your hoop might be more like a fraternal twin rather than an identical one!

I am a dreamer and I have a vision... what can you do to make that happen for me on my hoop?
We love dreamers! We had one customer request a hoop to be inspired by the Croatian flag! Hoops have amazing personalities just like you! Most of our students end up dressing like their hoops! Solet your imagination open up and if you have a hoop dream, then by all means email us for a quote!

Where are you located? Can I pick up my hoop instead of shipping it?
We are located in Nashville Tennessee. We have our very own studio in East Nashville (Hooprama StudioEast, 604 Gallatin Pike, #101, 37206) so if you are local and prefer to pick up your hoop in person then we can arrange a time to meet at our studio. But all hoops must be prepaid online.

I would really like to try out a hoop before ordering- where and when can I do that?
We have regular hoopJAMS that are free and open to the public. This is a great time for you to come try out our hoops. While you are there we can help you find the right size and weight. Or if needed, we can make a time to meet you at the studio where you can try out one of our class hoops. And if you are not local and need help picking a size/weight, simply email us and we will be happy to help you!

I just ordered my hoop... when will I receive it?
All Hooprama hoops are custom made by hand and are usually shipped within 3 days from the date of order. If we are in a busy season then it can take up to 7 days. We ship our hoops via FedEx Ground & Home Delivery which delivers 2-4 days from date of shipment. You should expect to receive your brand new weighted hula hoop within 2 weeks of the order date. You will receive an email notice when your hoop is shipped and please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen hoops that have been assigned a delivery tracking number.

Yes, a portion of all proceeds go back into a program that is very special to us... Hooping for Hope. Hooping for Hope is our grassroots project aiming to touch one spirit at a time through the hoop. We have great visions for our little project, so we thank you for choosing us because when you choose Hooprama, you choose to help someone Hoop for Hope!

How do I take care of my pretty new hoop?
There are lots of things you can do to take care of your pretty new hoop like...

Don't leave it in a hot car. Like pets in hot cars, hoop in hot car = bad news. It will seriously warp your hoop and/or make the tape very sticky and peel. If your hoop gets warped, then place it on a flat surface outside in the sun for 15 minutes.

Don't store your hoop next to a vent in your house. The changes in temperature blowing on the hoop can affect the tape... and not in a good way.

Hooping over gravel or rough surfaces = bad. Protect the tape on your hoop by choosing good hooping surfaces like smooth floors, grass, etc. Hula Hoop tape can be very fragile!

Ok, I know you explained weights before, but I am still so confused!
No problem! Let's see if we can do it this way...

if you are a new hooper, then a heavy weighted hoop might be a bit easier. They rotate a lot slower and are easier to keep up.

If you have some ability to already hoop, or are an experienced hooper, then you might prefer the light weighed hoop. It is easier for doing off-body moves.

BOTH hoops afford a fabulous workout!

Heavier = more weight, slower rotation. Lighter = less weight, quicker rotation.

If you are a super experienced hooper, then you might appreciate a small sleek hoop like our Shooter hoop. Details for that hoop will be posted soon. Anyway, if you still need help deciding, simply email us and we will be happy to help you!
