MY HOOPRAMA MAMA (or daddy) AND ME!
Mom Says: My ten year old daughter and I took a beginning hoop class this past winter and enjoyed it so much that we took another six week class to learn more advanced techniques. We both had a ball! It was so good to have time together and learn something new but also provided an opportunity for my daughter to grow in poise and self confidence.
I initially signed up for the class because I thought it was a good chance to spend time together and get some exercise but it turned out to offer so much more. We can't wait to start back again this fall. In this age where girls are bombarded with negative media messages about body image and self worth, hooping supports self esteem and promotes a can do attitude. -Debbie M.
Daughter says: I loved doing hoop gal class with my mom. We had so much fun doing it. It helped that we had a great teacher. My mom and I would always try to out smart each other in the jam session. We would go in the back yard for hours and try to be better than one another. When my mom would get a move and I didn't I would get pretty ticked off. I think the competition helped me improve every week. I would do hoop classes every day if I could. I loooooooooooooved it. Next year at school I am starting a hoola-hoop club!!!!!!!!!!! - Helen M.
